League 1 Winners –Match Report - 12th June
Latimer Primary School secured the winning trophy with a great shot from outside the penalty box in the final seconds of the match, ending with the ball firmly in the top corner of the net, leaving a cluster of bodies lying on the floor either in celebration or shock of conceding a goal worthy of winning the World Cup!
Latimer showed hunger for victory in the schools league final having only just scrapped through on penalties in the semi-finals against Redlands Primary. Latimer played with pace, purpose and power and this was only matched by Rothley Primary School who had chances themselves to win. Rothley had been successful in the semi-finals against a good footballing side of Bishop Ellis Primary. Credit to all schools in the finals, the football on show at times was outstanding and application to the games was brilliant.
Congratulations to Latimer Primary who were very worthy winners of the Primary Schools League trophy.

Art Week Extravaganza! - June 2018
What an amazing Arts Week we have had. Every class from Foundation Stage to Year 6 participated in different arts activities alongside a wide range of members of the community. Children drew, painted, sketched and used a variety of techniques during art sessions; some children developed their musical skills playing instruments, singing and even creating their own pieces. Other classes practised their performing arts including drama and dance and the whole school came together for an assembly at the end of the week to share and celebrate some of their learning. The amount of work produced, and the children’s learning was truly enriched by the experience.
Thank you to FOALs for their kindness and generosity to enable Arts Week to commence.
